The death of someone close to us is something we are all likely to experience at some stage in our lives. Grieving is a natural process and it often involves strong, painful feelings and emotions. Many find that counselling can help ease this process.

While many people will have and want the support of their family and friends to help them grieve and deal with their loss, others may feel isolated and alone or feel that they just cannot cope. It also may be that they would prefer to receive additional support from someone outside their immediate family circle to whom they can express and share their thoughts and feelings.

Counselling offers you the opportunity to share these feelings and concerns no matter how complex, with someone who is able to listen, understand and accept you without judgement.

Outside professional support can help you with the emotional distress you are going through and may even prevent physical and/or psychological problems occurring at a later date.

We are a very experienced service and have been providing a counselling service for bereaved people since 1985. All sections of the local community are very welcome to use our service. LBC operates a policy of equal opportunity and aims to be sensitive to peoplesŐ different cultural and religious needs.
